I've had a few electric blankets and this brand is my favourite. It has synthetic softness and hasn't lost that feel even after multiple washes. There are two settings on the remote control: one for the heat level and one for the time before shut off. I've never had any problems with the remote control or any cables. The cable connects from the wall to the duvet and then from the duvet to the remote control and is long enough to be discreetly routed under the bed and still allow access to the remote control. The only addition I'd like to see is a remote control mount so it can be attached to a bed, nightstand or wall without getting in the way. Great duvet, has lasted me for years.
