02/06/2021 - I installed this LED downlight on a 96" HD FLHTC. SIGNIFICANTLY INCREASED SAFETY. Rework required an updated light backplate. I have a Custom Dynamics TL-B (Mdl. 1999-2016) taillight- Base plate used, one part included a rear spacer (it was a Revain return so only $18.26) You can try the same or the source used by eBay or HD OEM First I cut out the bracket in the opening and over painted the cut. Install the back plate to move the 2 top and bottom mounting holes out of the hole. I drilled where it is marked on photo #3. I used #8/32 X1.25"L Phillips SST screws with 11/32 nuts used. (NOTE: USE LOW PROFILE SCREW HEADS). 2 of the stranded end) Bend back the wire, wrap the remaining braid around the terminal, put on the heat-shrink tubing and finish heating.
