First of all I would like to say that this headset has good sound quality and fits comfortably and securely on the head, eliminating background noise. These are the only good reviews I've received from this headset. The headset is marketed with "the famous Turtle Beach sensitivity". Having had two sets of PX22s in the past I am very familiar with this sensitivity and the overall quality of the mic. This is not the case with Altas One. The microphone barely worked even with my computer's recording and audio detection settings all set to maximum. This alone is a death knell for what is positioned as a headset and for gaming. While the headset's body feels solid, with a metal headband for durability and stability, the built-in adapter (used for PCs with separate microphone and headphone jacks on the back) has an annoying quirk. When the headset is connected to the adapter, it must be partially connected, otherwise the right ear will not work. This is the kind of malfunction I would expect from a 2 year old, heavily used headset, not just out of the box and tagged $50. This could also be the death knell for Atlas One. All in all, this headset isn't a headset, it's an overpriced pair of headphones that immediately act like an old dying couple. Do not buy.
