I bought this razor to replace a razor (from another manufacturer) whose head could no longer be screwed onto the handle. This razor is less aggressive than my previous razor, but it was just what I needed. In general, less aggressive razors are considered good for people just starting out with safety razors as they are less likely to cause scratches and cuts. However, this razor proved perfect for my thick hair on sensitive skin. I had far less skin irritation and no cuts that weren't my fault for shaving in a hurry. As this is a less aggressive razor, the few scratches and cuts I received were much milder than before and rarely required more attention than just a dab with a towel. This has changed for me as I still use the same shaving cream and razor blades. Even shaving after four or five days of growth is an easy task, although this razor is soft enough to shave every day without a hitch. I've used it both ways and compared to my previous razor (which made me feel the need to have at least two days off between shaves), this razor suited me perfectly.
