Suitable for shoes. Feels like slippers. I actually forgot they were sold as slippers and wore them to work a few times before returning to check. They don't look like slippers at all! You can definitely wear them for a quick run to the grocery store, and no one will notice you're wearing slippers (just leave those pajama bottoms at home). The fabric is elastic and gentle around bursitis and other bizarre shapes. Inside soft terry cloth, which feels great barefoot and warms well even without socks. The only downside is that they are too warm for hot weather. They are perfect for at home or under the desk at work for changing out of winter boots or less comfortable dress shoes. I'm definitely buying more of these.
