Required for piston rings
Absolutely necessary when changing rings on the piston. Make sure you buy the correct size compressor as the pistons are different sizes. There are better piston ring compressors out there, but if you don't do it all the time or make a living, it's good enough. Sometimes it can be a bit tricky to use, but there is no getting around a ring compressor.
