We have a pair of quality Ethan Allen upholstered chairs in the front living room. On a hot summer day during a pool party, someone in a very wet bathing suit sat on one of them and the top pillow got wet. As it dried, a horrible dark "ring" formed around the top pillow. We were offered $150 for a clean with no guarantee it would work. Fast forward to our "set" landing at the front door. I sprayed the pre-treatment thinner on with a light/medium spray to slightly darken the fabric. I then lightly dusted the "powder" onto the pad and used the brush to work the powder, focusing primarily on the ring stain. I waited 30 minutes and vacuumed the powder. To my amazement, "most" of the ring spot was gone. I waited a few hours but noticed that some of the stain had returned and that there was an area on the face of the pad that was darker than the rest of the pad. I think that's where I sprayed the pre-treatment a little Heavier. I decided to just use the powder and reapplied, but this time I spent about 5 minutes rubbing it into the fabric, following the "grain" in a back and forth motion. I waited and vacuumed for about 45 minutes. Viola! The stain has completely disappeared and the product did not damage the upholstery of the chairs. This is an amazing product and the best money I've spent in a long time. It's also a LONG way, this little kit covers about 100 square meters, with not much carpet but some different cleaning jobs. Stains, upholstery, wool, etc. that's enough. The powder is actually a bit wet so if I bought a larger set it would probably dry out before I could use it fresh and wet. A little moisture in the powder also means the kit was fresh so I will be contacting this seller if I need more in the future. Time for me to look around and see what needs cleaning/freshening up next time! Yes, and it smells great too!
