Great gift for your partner. Combine it with a pleasantly light massage oil and spend a romantic evening! This could be a gift for both of you :) Stones: big, but not gigantic. Heavy, smooth, good for big muscles. 8 is a good number, it's a good deal. I wish they weren't the exact same shape, but honestly they work well. I can get medium/small for legs/arms only - I think we'll use those! How to heat/use: (Disclaimer: I'm not a pro! It's just a hobby) I heated them in a pot filled with water. The low setting didn't heat it up enough so I turned it up. After about 20 minutes, remove 2 at a time with tongs and dip in cold water for a few seconds, until the "skin" is cool and the "core" is still hot. If you can hold them in your hands for 3 seconds without getting too hot. probably good for the skin. Make sure you dry them before using them on someone else's skin and use a light oil if available.
