Review on 🌍 Our Earth's Secrets Raw African Black Soap, 16 ounces by Jason Nelsen

I've been using DuDu Osun, Nubian Heritage or SheaMoisture African Black Soap for years. While these products have proven effective for a few weeks, my skin has become oilier and my breakouts have worsened. I practiced a strict regime: washing my face only twice a day (morning and evening), applying light applications of witch hazel and not touching my face with my hands. However, I felt that black soap was not good for my skin. I decided to look for black soap and was shocked by what I found. Unfortunately, I always thought black soap meant "black soap". Now I understand that real black soap shouldn't just be black - the soap should contain the necessary ingredients. Although black soap ranges in color from pitch black to light brown, the only ingredients that should be in black soap should be toasted psyllium husk, cacao pod shell, palm kernel oil, coconut oil, salt, ash, shea butter, or water. Real African black soap should not contain preservatives, color enhancers or fragrances (they provoke pimples). As a first time user of Our Earth's Secrets Black Soap, I am pleased with the results on my skin. Despite having a breakout period (which is normal), the sebum production on my face has decreased dramatically. In addition, dark spots on the hairline and in the jaw area have disappeared. In addition, the soap breaks easily and a small amount lasts a long time. The reason for the four stars is the packaging. The soap came wrapped in saran wrap in a ziploc bag, however as the soap was sent in a paper envelope some of the soap came loose from the bar. (I carefully shaped the soap before taking the picture). Presentation should be important to the company and I don't like sloppy packaging. Other than that, I'm happy with my purchase.
