Review on Effortlessly Snap Babyville Boutique Snaps with These Pliers! by Hannah Curi

You get what you pay for

This press is for when you absolutely cannot afford a KAM press. I've heard a lot of people have trouble with pliers and I can understand why. There is not much clearance between the press jaws and it is difficult to keep everything centered when pressing. I bought it thinking I wouldn't need to pull out my heavy abs because the little one wasn't working. Yes, not much. That thing is so finicky, I'd rather just pull those abs. The key difference with the press is that there is no die to hold the top snap securely when pressed. Basically you have to push the cap in, carefully balance the socket or stud on it, hold it with your fingernail while trying to maneuver the cap into the notch of the pliers, hold everything together until you close the jaws, and then hope that everything stays centered when you press. It may take a few tries to get everything back in place before you can start pressing. Too picky for me.
