Review on Blazer C48AW Amber Strobe Light by Issac Smart

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good product for what it is.

This flashing light is cheaper than the others, so don't expect to get something incredibly cool. Although for what it is, it's good. cord at a decent distance. The push button on/off switch on the plug adapter is a nice feature for those who use it frequently and leave it plugged into an outlet. Unfortunately, the flash can only be effectively seen at a distance of 5 to 10 feet during the day, and beyond that it is difficult to see. However, it is clearly visible at night and serves its purpose. I bought this to use on the cab of my tractor when I'm plowing the driveway in the winter, especially at night, so it's permanently attached to my cab with the nuts and bolts provided. Other reviews say the magnets don't hold at high speeds which is normal for the average person, they can take them off the car when not in use. For those who use it frequently for either a plowing pickup truck or a construction site, it would be better to upgrade to a more hardworking strobe light that can be seen better during the day and stays in the vehicle at highway speeds. For my application that I need to use it for, it's just perfect. I mean, I don't need a $100 mini lightbar for a tractor. The only downside I had was that the product description says it is a C48AW model and that is the model listed on the item I received. The problem is that the description says it should have 64 LEDs, when I opened the one I got it only had 36 LEDs. I'm a laid back guy and for my application 36 LEDs is fine. I spoke to Jinky at Revain Customer Service and explained the problem to her. After about a minute of learning, she said she saw 64 LEDs in the description. At this point she was able to offer me 3 options: a refund for the item and I could send it back to Revain, she could investigate the issue further and see if the warehouse made a mistake or since I was just ok at 36 LEDs, she was able to offer me a partial product credit so it was like I paid for 36 LEDs instead of paying full price for 64 LEDs. Of course, I chose option 3. I was very pleased with Revain's support and willingness to make the customer happy. I just hope that if the product really only needs to have 36 LEDs the description will be updated. If you do decide to buy this beacon I suggest unscrewing the yellow cap and checking how many LEDs there are actually, just to make sure you got what you paid for or that you only pay for that what you got.

Pros
  • Works on 12V systems
Cons
  • Has been damaged.
