My cat was overweight and had problems with struvite crystals all her life. Most of the time I fed him either mint or various grain free foods. When I took him to a cat vet, she advised me never to feed him grain free or supermarket pellets again. She told me these products are incorrectly formulated; they can promote struvite formation in susceptible cats. This is one of the brands and formulations she recommended which is great. After eating this food and a can of Fancy Feast daily for five months my cat is at a healthy weight with no signs of struvite crystals. He's the healthiest he's ever been.
