Jacket fitment on my review.

When I was shopping for this jacket I was conserned about the fit, living in US and the company is in th UK, find a local retailer to try it on was not likely. So here is how I think it fitsI bought the XL unpadded version. I’m 5’9” tall and about 200 LBS with long arms, usually shop large tall jackets. The jacket does fit a little large around the middle but leaves room for a hoodie or other layers, the hem of the jacket hit me about mid thigh with the opening of the "cargo” pockets hitting about my waist. The sleeves are a good length for me reaching to just below my waist with my arms hanging at my sides. The "hand warmer” pockets are a little higher than on most jackets but not uncomfortably so. I do find them to be a bit small for my hands but I can fit my hands in them but probly not while wearing work gloves. Thinner gloves no problem. It comes with a snap on hood that leaves some to be desired but it’s there when the wind gets cold on my neck and ears. The pull on zipper is on the left side rather than the right like I’m used to but I assume that’s due to UK style. Non issue just have to get used to it. The only real complaint I have is inner pocket, that is quite large, is open at the top which is fine but the opening of the pocket is in about the same spot as the zipper starts and I keep getting it caught. I plan to hand stich a few stitches to solve the problem. So far so good but only had it 1 day!

Pros
  • No
Cons
  • The wax material may require special care and maintenance, adding to the overall cost of owning the jacket
