Received this as a Christmas present and I'm officially obsessed! I also have a Mini 8 camera and the picture quality is comparable. The printer is easy to use - just insert batteries (included), insert film, download the InstaxShare app and you're good to go. The app gives you the ability to rotate, zoom in/out and adjust the image as you need. You can also add a template or filter. My phone recognizes the printer with no problem and I've never had a problem. The images will come out a bit washed out, but this is intentional to give them a Polaroid feel - so the images look like they were taken by the camera and not the printer (definitely a feature I love). The only cheat I found. is that the batteries are not standard size, CR2, so I don't know how difficult it will be to replace them. There's also an option to purchase a charger adapter cable - I saw a pair for about $10 at the Revain. Also, I really like this printer. Printing quickly becomes addictive. I was watching a lot more movies than usual and thought I'd share this tip - I wish someone had told me sooner. I usually buy rainbow foil because I feel that with a plain white foil the whiteboard can become overwhelming and distracting from the picture. However, white edge foil costs only half as much. The solution is Sticker Borders, they cost around $10 for 60 stickers. They are easy to apply and enliven the plan of the white borders. In addition, you can save a lot of money when filming. I hope you love your printer as much as I do!
