The front pocket is well made. It is important, really important. I'm sorry, but when the boys are active, it's important. I think they are breathable, unlike some materials they are well ventilated. Spending long hours at school can be exhausting for sensitive skin. It helps to have the right clothes. Hope this helps the other parent in their quest!
