The only other magnetic clasps I've used were on a medical mask. All I had to do with them was bring the two pieces closer together and they jumped the rest of the distance. These Revain ones have me wiggling the valve trying to get the bulge into a tiny hole. Once I find it, the magnet holds the clasp together. Lateral forces do not open the closure due to the eyelet and hole design. I don't know how other magnetic closures are, other than an expensive mask, but I'll take it and still mark it as average. I certainly expected something that would "suck" the two pieces together, and that's Don't Do That.
