Review on ๐Ÿ  Automatic Aquarium Fish Tank Food Feeder - IDS Black Digital Timer for Convenient Home Feeding on Vacation or Holidays - Auto Feeders by Ryan Hare

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Very cheap and seems reliable. Two notable flaws.

Rating: This product is very cheap and is currently working very reliably. I would give it five stars if it weren't for two experience flaws (although they're pretty easy to fix). If you have some tape and about five minutes to make a small tweak to the product, it will work on almost any type of food with minimal moisture build-up. Pros: great price. Requires only two AA batteries to operate. Simple design that is not very prone to breakage. The feeder adapts to most fish feed sizes. Offers the option to feed every 12 or 24 hours with a switch on the back. The adjustable clip easily fits the rim of my tank (20 gallon Aqueon tank with standard black plastic rim). Cons: Moisture can build up in the feeder and cause the feed to clump - this process can take days before becoming a problem and nothing to worry about if you are going to be using the unit for a week or more. The smallest feeder setting is still quite large and not compatible with fine kibble (flakes will do, but very small kibble can be a problem). My fish pellets are about 0.5mm in diameter and run out of the feeder too easily. Solution: A small piece of tape attached to the inside of the feeder can easily prevent dispensing too much feed at once and also helps retain moisture from the feed storage/prevents the feed from clumping.

  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Not bad
