This cable was purchased new. The cable came in a shipping box. I opened the package and found the shipping box. The box has already been opened and wrapped poorly with tape. I threw the cable onto the bed. The cable still has the new clear plastic but is badly discolored and frayed from heat damage. The edges of the adapter are also frayed. The cable has kinks and the tip is stretched, indicating damage. The cable works but gets very hot. I would exchange or return this junk but I need it for work as my old cable was eaten by a cat. Very angry about that.
