Review on NBGT Invisible Low Profile Ceiling Fan with Light: Dimmable LED, Remote Control, 3 Wind Speeds by Joy Jones

Poor fit and weird functionality but works

Bought for my daughter's loft bed. It was getting too hot and she wasn't comfortable with the traditional fan. It arrived earlier than expected and well packaged. On the day of delivery it was raining like crazy and the box was wet. The product was dry and without traces. Removing the old fan was quick. I was hoping to use an old fan ceiling mount to save time and because it was stronger than the flimsy cross mount, but unfortunately the size difference was just too big. Wiring was traditionally black and white. The only thing missing was the earth from the device. This is partially relevant and deserves attention. I didn't see any DIP switches to set the frequency of the receivers; If you plan to have more than one home, you may face remote collision issues. Speaking of the remote control. Requires a 23A 12V battery which is not included. Tip, buy one in advance or you'll have to run out before you can test the fan. Only the remote control can turn on/off the fan. As mentioned, the ceiling mount is a flimsy cross mount. Very flexible. Need a blanket to increase stability. The wire is easy to connect, but it wasn't easy to hold and connect unaided. This is a 2 person job. The latch rests on the fan mounting bracket. This piece is also very thin and flexible. It took some work to put things right. It's poorly constructed and its durability is an issue. Total installation time 1 hour. I'm your simple DIY dad, not an expert. This fan looks a bit cheap when it's on top. Biggest issues: no ground connection, weak ceiling mount, weak fan ceiling mount, no remote control meaning no fan.
