Review on Dimmable Antique Flexible LED Bulb – 60W Equivalent, 750 Lumens, High CRI by Jessica Shakman

Very bright white bulbs 5000K - NOT 4000K as ordered

These bulbs are BRIGHT BRIGHT white! I chose them because they have a helical thread instead of a rod-like thread - I thought they would look more interesting off. The size and shape correspond to the 12-armed "Sputnik" lamp. They turn on and dim instantly. I ordered two boxes of 6 bulbs 8W 4000K. One box came with all working bulbs, the other with two broken bulbs. (The light bulb box is very flimsy, not even glued, it has no packaging material other than a plastic divider for bulbs. The boxes were scattered in a large shipping carton with insufficient padding between the pieces. Broken glass was loose in the shipping carton.) Revain quickly arranged one Refund and credit and I re-ordered the same bulbs. (Faster shipping with credit and a new order rather than direct replacement.) I used a table lamp to verify that all 12 bulbs were working, but didn't even think to verify that they were 4000K as ordered. When the electrician installed the lamp, I looked at the small matte sticker on the box and noticed it said "5000K". There is yellow lettering at the end of the bulb, which we don't notice since the lamp is high up in the triple-height hallway, but if you're using it in a lamp above the dining table, you might notice the lettering when the bulb is off . (Although 5000K above the table would be too bright.) Can't speak to durability yet but hopefully a few years at least.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Out of style
