All my lid handles are straight metal U-shaped. Lined up correctly, they go in well, and rotating the lid so only one end of the handle is in the groove, even better. I can remove any cover without disturbing others. I found this on Wirecutter's recommendation. Good quality, workmanship, functionality and shape. I mounted it on the side wall of the closet. Mounting screws (and drywall anchors) were included, 3 per stud, but I used my own because they are shorter.
