My 2 year old daughter ALWAYS likes to build and disassemble. So I went on a quest to find all kinds of blocks that my daughter could use to build big blocks. There were many options, but the strength, durability, and price drew me to the Melissa and Doug boxes. My daughter played this at her gig a few months ago and had a lot of fun with it. I actually forgot about her at first when I was looking for blocks to give her for Christmas. Luckily I found them on sale and bought 3 packs (72 blocks). They are very easy to assemble. Like I said she used to have fun with them so I think she will have fun with them at Christmas too including her 4 year old sister and 15 year old brother. Some important pointers to remember: Fold all the folds first before assembling. If you are buying multiple packs, open all the packs first and sort the boxes by color. The reason for this is that you get into a good rhythm and move much faster if you do all the boxes by color instead of shuffling them and making a red box, then a blue one, then some yellow ones, red again, etc I'll update this post if anything changes, but so far I'm very impressed.
