Review on πŸ“Ή TomTom Bandit 4k Action Camera by Frank Tyrance

Missed TomTom, drop the bandit!

No stability control and all mounts are rigid, get ready for a vibration-filled roller with no noise. The microphone is absolutely unusable (cutoffs and screeching wind noise no matter how many updates are sent). The camera sits on a rotating barrel-shaped base that doesn't really have a center. You can make it a little lower on the left or a little lower on the right. This cannot be fixed as there are ridges or notches when the camera rotates and none of them are in the center. The app is good for quick editing, but I don't know anyone who enjoys "shaking" inconsistent events into a movie to edit them. There is no way to force TomTom to record continuously. It automatically splits several hours of video into 4-6 segments of different lengths from 8 to 16 minutes. Editing on a large computer (instead of an app since no real editing takes place apart from mixing walnut shells) is difficult as the video clips cannot be dragged into iMovie, iPhoto or iTunes. Trying to silently connect all the broken clips is more frustrating than it's worth. I sent mine back after making a bike video which you can find on youtube by searching for my handle d3x1m3remixed (all caps). There you will see HD Quality 1060p 60fps and Ratchet City. I've spared your ears the shrill white noise and crackling.
