Keep calm and grab a good screwdriver

Can't expect much at this price point, so it gets two stars for really staying up and keeping all the modems, routers, etc. Here's how it was: 1. All instructions are useless. The most confusing part of the build (attaching the brackets to the mounting plate) has been "enlarged" to fit a child's thumbnail. TIP: Screw the small square plates onto the brackets loosely, then slide them over the mounting plate once it's secured to the wall and tighten. The instructions don't tell you that (they don't tell you anything), but it's the only way to do it that won't deeply piss you off at Hulk.2. Once the staples are tight, don't expect them to stay still. They still wobble a bit, meaning the glass will shake a bit when you test them. So use a light hand when cleaning.3. The end caps for the mounting plate are mostly unusable (because they don't fit properly), as is the "cable management" trinket on the back. I couldn't figure out how to place all the cables there. So rely on another method to cover/manage your wires.4. If you screw the mounting plate to the wall you will have to rework it by hand as (a) the drill bit will not fit and (b) the screws will eventually separate the plate from the wall. You need to hold it in place and then screw it into the stud by hand to the middle.5. I found the Allen key uncomfortable. It's very thin and difficult to squeeze when tightening, and you want to tighten everything as tightly as possible as it's never going to be super strong anyway. This thing gets the job done, but to be honest it was a tedious project and the shelf doesn't work. Just fill me with faith in your decency.

Pros
  • CABLE MANAGEMENT: Slim all black wall plate (3" wide) with integrated cable management system on both sides, protrudes just 19mm from the wall after installation for a tidy appearance with neatly laid cables a way.
Cons
  • Not sure
