Looks like leather but it's not. The material looks good; No fake. My only complaint (hence 4 stars) is that the straps are confusing. I had to remove the wrist strap that opens the wallet and replace it with a pull tab. The wrist strap and the body strap are the same color, and the areas where all the straps connect are close to each other. I found this totally confusing. UPDATE: I worked with something I attached to a bag. Still confusing. So I attached one side of the strap to the tongue and it works great. No more fuss. There is plenty of room for credit cards, cash and small change. However, the top credit card slots are too deep for a card, but it's a great place to stash some cash. Overall worth the cost.
