When my son was born he got scared in the baby bath so I put this pillow in the sink to make a little pillow to give and to keep my child from slipping. He felt much better in a cozy little sink. This pillow is not thick which was perfect for me because I would go from the sink to a stool in the shower and put the pad on my lap and put my son on my lap and again the pillow prevents him from sliding and I use that Hand shower to bathe him in my lap and he LOVES it! Now he is 8 months old and I still bathe him like this. He sits in the shower with me in the BAMBO chair while I shower and when I sit down and take the green foam he starts squeaking, giggling and waving his arms excitedly. This works great like I said for the way I use it. If you are looking for a very thick foam pad, this is not for you. It lasted 7 months without falling apart until I made the mistake of letting my son play with it and he bit it and blew his head off so this is a #2 purchase.
