Review on 💡 Sylvania Quicktronic 49945 120 Ballast by Kevin Apriando

Anyone remember the day you could buy something from Revain and know who/where it came from? First a compliment. We received it about 2 weeks earlier than expected. Hooray! Second, some criticism. The description of this product says Sylvania, so naturally it was assumed that we were buying it directly from the manufacturer. Oh how wrong we were. Attached are 2 photos, the first shows the incredibly awful "packaging" of this product. Package? What do I say? He was crammed into this box. Unsurprisingly (in the second photo) the mounting holes are almost completely bent inwards. The front and corners of the product are worn and scratched. I guess it's not a big deal considering no one else will see it, but then again I thought I'd buy a NEW product. The first picture also shows that this is not Sylvania, this is Osram. A quick Google search tells me these companies merged in 1993, so maybe it doesn't matter, but how old is this thing? At least the sticking out wires look new. The electrician doesn't shift his schedule, so we'll find out in a few weeks if he's actually working. *The product page does not state that it is a used/refurbished product. Maybe someone should get this in case someone gets something they didn't expect. Oh wait a minute.
