Great hiking socks. I wore them while hiking Hadrian's Wall. The weather was damp (typical for Northumbria) and muddy. I wore a pair of polyester socks under the dress (kids, an old trick I learned on duty in the 80's) and they worked great together. There's quite a bit of padding on the bottom and they managed to breathe well in the sun and dry air in a matter of moments. I hand washed them at night and hung them to dry and/or sometimes hung them out of my backpack the next day. Highly recommended.
