Didn't know about these products until a few months ago. I took it just in case as I have a few knives that don't rust, but so far I've never had a rust problem living in a low humidity area. A friend gave me this tracker (see photo) which is a combination of 1095 and 15H20 steel. I left it in a suitcase in a dry closet in my bedroom until recently. After 5 months in the sheath it's pretty rusty. 20 minutes with an eraser and a flitz polish and almost all the rust is gone. Yes, I oiled it, which I couldn't do the first time.
