Nice looking, well made, attractive and very functional water shoes with sliding laces. The sole is quite flexible, with a well-defined grippy profile. My only complaint would be that the thin insole was too thin and too hard on the soles of my feet. I bought these before a week long trip to a water park hotel with my son and wife. I have nerve damage in both legs which is a mixture of numbness and hypersensitivity with the sensitivity causing more pain from my legs to my knees. So these shoes were essential to protect the soles of my feet from scratches and chafing from the rough surface of the pool floor. Unfortunately, the insoles themselves were very rough, too thin and without any cushioning. But they did their job, at least as far as it was possible with their rough stuff. These liners are likely designed to shed water better and reduce the weight of the shoe once it gets wet.
