I ordered this paracord for camping and home use: this highly visible paracord is unstoppable and handy in your home tool kit. Paracord consists of seven high-tenacity nylon strands (550 pounds total tensile strength) surrounded by a woven nylon sheath. The braided nylon sheath is an attractive bright red color with reflective fluorescent green spiral markings that are highly visible in both daylight and flashlights. Paracord is flexible and soft to the touch, easy to tie and feels comfortable in the hand. The paracord is carefully cut with a sharp knife or side cutters. If left unfinished, the braided nylon sheath will unravel and the paracord will be too thin and flexible to be whipped (i.e. wrapped with rope). Cut ends can be finished with clamp fittings (not included); or the cut ends can be melted down with a burning match, fusing the nylon sheath and inner threads into a nylon end bead; or the cut ends can be covered with nail polish (not included), which will prevent the cut sheath from unraveling, but will not strongly fuse all the inner strands.
