The part that fits into the cup holder has arrows to turn the ring on top to 'lock' or 'unlock'. He tried it before taking the phone mount and cup holder into the car. It looks like nothing will change. I figured rotating the ring would resize the piece below to fit exactly. Although it may have to be done in the car. I tried it, but "lock" doesn't change anything. Is this device broken? It comes without instructions. UPDATE: Third time was charming. I was able to attach the phone holder fairly well and used it on a long car ride. Works perfectly, I've changed my rating to 4 stars.
