What offer! good for computers and accessories

This is just a quick note to fill in a few parts that are not in the listed specs, having actually received and installed 2 of these. The ION graphics version is listed on the box as "GT218-ION". As far as I can tell, they work great with You Tube HD (and Hulu) videos. (I updated Flash to version 10.1 first.) The "wireless" mouse and keyboard works via a nano-sized dongle plugged into the USB port and works at about 5 feet away. Windows sees them as 2.4GHz, but doesn't list them as Bluetooth. VGA video to a 20" LCD PC monitor at 1600 x 1200 pixels and HDMI video to a 46" LED TV at 1080p (1920 x 1024 pixels) work fine. . (I reduced the resolution on the TV a bit because I had to overscan the TV, otherwise the edge of the PC screen would be blanked out. I'm sure this issue can be adjusted in the TV settings to solve this problem , without reducing the resolution, but I can't find anywhere that's fast enough.) Speed is listed as 3.5 in Windows Experience, compared to 2.1 on our Asus Eee PC 1000 running Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit. (These new PCs are 64-bit.) They're amazingly quiet. The fan is only audible briefly during the initial power-on sequence. I had no problem installing the Samsung USB DVD player. Simply plugged in and recognized immediately. Similarly, my HP 2605 network color laser printer is automatically found and configured. (One tip: if the printer installer asks you to update your printer driver list, let it do it.) At first it wasn't clear how I would reinstall everything if the hard drive ever failed. The PC does not come with any media that could be used for this. (I later discovered that the included eRecovery program creates a 3 DVD factory image with a fourth driver DVD and creates a DVD+RW set with the Samsung USB 2.0 8x External DVD-DVD drive mentioned above with no problem. External Optical Drive Writer for Mac and PC SE- S084C/RSBN (Glossy Black) Another day has passed and I've removed some of the unnecessary pre-installed programs, disabled unwanted startup programs with msconfig, Microsoft Security Essentials, Firefox (along with the Firefox Sync-Add -Ons, NoScript, Flashblock and BetterPrivacy) and Microsoft Office 2007 (version 2010 is pre-installed but costs me extra money) Windows Update found and installed dozens of security updates Day 3: Working remotely with this computer today The VPN connection was in ok as was the remote database application control and GoToMeeting which included both audio and video Nothing I did today has di e CPU usage increased by about 40%! I also checked the power consumption and found that it is typically less than 25W, which is just over 20W consumed by our Asus Eee PC 1000 netbook, despite this Acer having more cores (2 instead of 1) and a higher clock speed (local 1.8 GHz). . 1.6 GHz) and 216 GB hard drive (instead of 40 GB on SSD). 802.11b Wi-Fi and Gigabit Ethernet internet connections work fine. others wondered if they really exist and if they are good. The answer is yes! Update: Two weeks later this was still the perfect choice for both of us. Now everything is set up exactly the way we like it and a full backup of the system has been made just in case. (I used our external DVD+RW USB drive, but any external USB drive with enough space will do.) For those wondering if the standard 2GB of RAM is enough, none of us have half that yet Amount consumed It is common that our computers have dozens of windows open at the same time in different applications. Highly recommended! Update 2: Two and a half years later it's still a good deal. Nothing I see today is as good as it was new. However, we've felt room for improvement lately - this week we've easily and inexpensively satisfied: -Pin single rank SODIMM memory for some Acer KAC MEMHS/2G notebooks on any PC. It is recommended by Kingston specifically for this model and is the same brand as it was originally. Everything works fine as expected.2 Original 250GB HDDs replaced with 128GB SSDs 128GB 2.5" Crucial m4 SSD SATA 6Gb/s CT128M4SSD2, one per PC. (We chose a smaller drive since most of the data resides on a separate ReadyNAS. Note: There is another version of this drive that includes a data cloning cable, but I have an Ankerยฎ Uspeed USB 3.0 to SATA drive instead -3 adapter cable got.for 2.5"/3.5"HDD SSD with external 12V 2A power supply.Data cloning also requires software.I used True Image 2013 for this.It comes as a , and available for three PCs in the Tools menu and it couldn't be easier Opening the case was easy after watching a YouTube video titled Acer Aspire Revo AR3700 โ€“ How to upgrade/tear apart but if you've never removed the motherboard using a PC (only required to install an SSD) you can ask someone with experience to do it, so we've now improved both for less upfront cost so that they will last a few more years n. no less recommendable!
