I have to admit that I'm obsessed with masks - that means finding the perfect fit! It's been like this for over a year since the beginning of the pandemic. Comfort and safety are paramount. I've bought mostly reusable, washable fabrics on Etsy, many of which have a filter pocket or internal filter built in. The sellers adjusted them for me to have more room for my nose and mouth so I could breathe easier. I learned about the BOTN masks from a YouTube video posted by an aerosol scientist testing many of them to educate the public. This mask has a very high filter performance - even higher than 94. The first time I put on the mask a few days ago for 40 minutes in a pharmacy. I'm happy to report that I didn't get hot in them, my breathing was good and the fit was comfortable. For me it sealed the nose wire very well around the nose and cheeks. The whole mask fits well on the face and under the chin so (at least for me) it doesn't leak. When I first opened the package and felt the mask, it was a bit odd because it feels more "papery" than fabric. It takes a bit of getting used to, having mainly been wearing sheet masks for over a year now. Although they're disposable, as Mr. Collins claims on YouTube, you can easily put them back on if you're wearing them in a low-traffic, relatively low-risk environment. I don't walk out in public every day at work, so for me it's just an occasional trip to the grocery store or to see the doctor. Being in the same room for a long time was part of what motivated me to try. Mask. I also thought of another family member who lives in a bigger city than me and wanted to do a test run for him! (Family love, what can I say?!). When I'm done wearing it, I usually hang it out in the sun, a natural disinfectant, just to let it air out. I recommend it to anyone who prefers a generous space in front of their nose and mouth to breathe and speak. Also, it has very good filtering so it seems like a safe choice for those who find themselves in risky indoor situations. This is a Korean made mask and they really seem to know what they are doing!
