Review on πŸŒ‹ Lamp Lava 2149: 14.5-inch Color Max Volcano Base with Decal Colormax, featuring White Wax, Clear Liquid, and Tri-Colored Globe by Ryan Whatley

Revainrating 4 out of 5

No Lava without a 40 watt S11 E17 bulb

One star ratings are mostly correct. Wax smeared on the bottom of the lamp (if you're not busy creating and delaying suggestive abstract still life poses, it's welcome on top due to hardening). The included 25-watt lightbulb just isn't hot enough to make it pretty. Bubbles in the average temperature of the house. If you live in Florida and the temperature is above 72C most of the time, you might not have this problem. For that reason alone, I wouldn't recommend giving it to someone you like without a $2 40W bulb. This is a delicate item right out of the box. The instructions say not to use for more than 10 consecutive hours. Lawyers approve the proposal, as well as the inclusion of a 25-watt light bulb that barely works. The glass part with the 40 watt bulb feels like a hot cup of coffee that you can hold with both hands on a cold morning and the aluminum base doesn't get too hot.*** 10 hours. The rule should NOT be overlooked when choosing a 40 watt bulb as it will run hotter than a 25 watt bulb. , and another next to the 1.5 liter bottle for the scales. Story Time: So after 2 days of patiently observing the wax and the 10 hour rule, I threw all caution (and instruction) to the wind and gently waved the jar. This caused the accumulated molten wax to eventually rise in a vortex, causing the solid plug at the top to sink. It also caused the wax to split into a hundred tiny bubbles, which the instructions warn about as it may not come back together. However, he recovered the next day. I wanted to return it (because how disappointing is a lava lamp that doesn't contain lava?). But then I saw another reviewer talking about a 40 watt bulb that worked like a dream, so I gave it another try. She was right! So you have three-four-five choices: 1) go back in time where you can buy a historical item before everything was made in China, 2) return it, 3) don't buy it in the first place, 4) move to Florida , or 5) buy a 40 watt S11 bulb with an E17 base.
