Shirts wick sweat/moisture and stay dry. I've had a lot of these shirts over the years, but it looks like they've changed the weave (or knit? I don't know) and these new ones get the pills and the puffs from looking at them. Walk past a thorny bush? Expect a thread to be pulled. Look at the sticky side of the velcro? You now have a filled area. Bring something heavy to your body for a few steps (take a look at Crossfit), now the shirt shows where you touched it. I've had other Columbia wicking shirts for a few years and they look great. The 4 I bought just 4 months ago look a lot older after a year of use. These are already "housework" shirts that are not worth the price.
