This drive is very fast when copying files between separate networks. I was concerned by the reviews that suggested the port's mechanical connection would fail. Other reviews noted the strength of the connection with the cable inserted. Seeing the connection between these two issues, I ordered the Cable Matters 2 Pack, SuperSpeed USB 3.0 Type A to Micro-B 6ft Blue Cable at the same time I bought the drive. The supplied cable is of course too big and requires too much effort when plugging it in. The aftermarket cable fits snugly with no risk of connector damage. Just stay away from the included USB3 cable and you'll be fine.
