I didn’t buy Dr. Brown’s bottle right away, at first I used other supposedly “anti-colic” bottles from other companies, but I didn’t notice any effect from them. And from Brown the effect really was! While breastfeeding, I bought bottles with a narrow neck so that I could immediately attach them to the breast pump. When we switched to the mixture, bottles with a wide neck and a painted bright measuring scale were more convenient for me. The bottles with both narrow and wide necks fit equally well for my son. The point is not the neck, but in the ventilation system in the form of a long thin tube through which air enters the bottom of the bottle, and not into the child's mouth. I noticed the difference almost immediately - there were no smacking sounds during feeding, the never stuck together, the son did not hiccup or burp after feeding. Our colic period was almost painless, thanks to Dr. Brown!
