Poor fit/fit. The fit of this mask to the face is ensured by a rubber seal that runs on the outside of the mask. The problem is that the mask is huge. I wear a respirator to work every day. I wear a medium sized respirator, but typical commercial respirators and dust masks are designed to fit different face shapes and sizes. It is important to wear the correct size respirator. But for example a regular respirator with a large cartridge fits me even if I'm a medium because they are designed to adapt to different face shapes. But when I put these masks on, the rubber seal goes well below my chin and I can feel the air moving freely around my chin as I breathe. At the top, the nose wire is well below the top edge. I almost have to touch the top edge of the rubber grommet to my eyes for the wire to land on the tip of my nose. Of course, that doesn't work very well, but I also wear glasses, so wearing them that high isn't an option. They fit my wife's face better as she has a longer face but she also wears glasses so they don't fit her either. I think there isn't a lot of money for n95s right now, but I'm not sure why people are making these stupid designs. While it's probably better than a bandana wrapped around your face, this might not be a great option if you're after the n95 for maximum virus protection. I think what most people sadly don't realize is that mask filtration is pointless if it doesn't provide a reliable seal. If you're using this or any other mask and you don't feel any resistance and the mask pulls towards your face a little when you breathe in, it means you're breathing in air leaking around the mask and getting very little air.
