Winix does not respond to heating, cooling or air quality

We bought this as a second purifier during California smoke season when we were confined indoors with poor air quality for weeks this fall. As everyone bought filters, there were very few, but we chose this one because of its washable design. It has never been turned on and it looks like not all filters are washable which is misleading. There were no instructions and we emailed the company several times for a replacement to no avail. Apparently due to Covid they sent the quality control, warranty, customer service and returns departments home. Useless, overpriced, overly computerized piece of junk from an even worse company. You might have better luck with the return company, but it looks like it's the wrong design.
