Review on Cheerwing CW4 RC Drone: 720P HD Camera, Perfect for Kids and Adults - Auto Hovering! by Sharon Smith

It is great!

This drone is amazing. It has a ton of features that many drones at triple the price don't have. My favorite features:* Learn to fly easily.* Takes GREAT videos.* Take off and maintain altitude with one touch.* Land. at the push of a button.* Adaptive Control. Doesn't seem too sensitive or two sluggish. Seems spot on. As already mentioned, the camera points slightly downwards. That doesn't really bother me because I usually want video or photos of people on the ground, not the horizon or the general landscape. But if you want stage shots, others have mentioned that you can set up the camera by simply loosening a few screws and wedging something between the camera and the drone's body. Haven't tried it, but judging by the looks it seems true. I might try it in the future if I need a specific type of shot, but for now I'm happy with the camera angle. But the customer service is really what gives this drone five stars. When I lost my first drone the company contacted me and offered a replacement saying they strive for 100% customer satisfaction. Well I have to say I'm 100% satisfied! If you're buying your first drone, feel free to buy it. It is great. Some recommendations: * Before your first flight, thoroughly review the controls and pre-flight procedures. * Have a plan on what to do if you lose control of your drone due to unforeseen circumstances. * Write your phone number on the drone permanent marker with a fine pen. That way, if you lose it, hopefully a kind soul will call you.* Attach a GPS tracker to it. I ordered a Tile Mate tracker and I'm going to attach it to one of the drone's legs with a zip tie. It's not a perfect solution, it increases the cost of the drone by 50% but gives you a little more peace of mind if you lose control or lose sight of it.* Cheerwing makes it clear that it's really not for windy days. Follow this recommendation. Still, I don't regret this purchase. I'd love to use it when it gets a little windy but for the price you really can't complain, especially how great the customer service is. If you're looking to buy your first drone, you can't go wrong with this one. --- FIRST REVIEW --- I had high hopes for this drone. I did a lot of research before buying. I've compared it to all the drones in my price range and this one turned out to be exactly what I've always wanted. I was amazed by its properties. The only thing that bothered me was the same thing with almost every drone: stories about how a drone accidentally flew away on the first flight and was never seen again. However, I told myself that this must be the fault of the user who doesn't take the time to learn how to fly the drone properly or neglects to calibrate it before each flight. That's why I read every word of the manual before my first flight. I did it slowly. I trained in safe places. I have always followed the correct pre-flight procedure. I was amazed at how quickly I settled in. After a few hours I could fly it normally. And then disaster. On the second day, after many successful flights, I performed it in front of my house where it is a wide open field. I flew it for a few minutes and then heard the low battery warning (which also doubles as an out-of-range warning). So I pressed the one-touch button and started guiding him closer with the controls. It was getting closer, but it didn't seem to be coming down. So I pressed the "Auto Landing" button again and also steered it down with the altitude control. At this point he was over me so I tried to tell him to move on but he didn't answer. He kept moving about my house so I ran as fast as I could around the house to the backyard to see him and keep checking him but it was too late. He was nowhere to be seen, and despite spending hours roaming around the area, I grudgingly have to admit he's lost. was it my fault Maybe I really don't know. I really thought I was good at how it works, but I'm starting to doubt myself. Did I turn off 'headless mode' when I thought I pressed the 'Auto Landing' button? I raised it too high and that's why it just didn't respond to anything, what have I tried? I don't think so because it could hardly fly over my ranch style house. But I guess I'll never know. My advice: make sure you are 100% confident in your ability to control him before you let him go too far or too high. Not 99%. Not 99.9%. 100% Otherwise, you may never see it again.
