Mirror diameter may be smaller than expected. To be honest I don't remember checking this product specification. Assembly was easy, except for the fact that the size of the nuts used to attach the mirror itself to the mounting plate turned out to be different. One of the nuts is tight on the mounting rods, the other is not. I used one that attaches securely to the top stem and seems to be holding the mount tight. I also added a third anchor bolt to the mounting plate. I haven't had the mirror long, so I can't comment on the battery life. I use a mirror every day.
