When I was cleaning out the closet I was surprised how many types of hangers are short lived and that's not even the flimsy wire hangers. I threw away so many that I had to replace them and found them perfect. They are smooth and durable and feel comfortable. Pants above the bottom bar are less wrinkled and the thin straps don't fall off because the sleeves are tucked in to fasten. You can easily remove this item from the hanger, although this is in contrast to the slots in the plastic hangers that seem to hold them back. I have found that the plastic brackets break too easily and the rotating metal plate that hangs over the bar rusts and breaks over time. The ones with wire are just gross. Plastic-coated metals will eventually chip and chip. I had a few layered hangers for multiple garments, but they were all ripped or torn. It was an old closet with things I rarely used so the hangers didn't get abused but I was really surprised at how poorly most of them have helped over the years. These new hangers are amazing. They won't snag or mark your clothes, and they're perfect for the foamiest dress or bulky jacket. I will buy more for other cabinets.
