These boots are very similar to waders but much cheaper. I bought size 8 for my 3 year old son who loves dinosaurs. Size 8 = 6.5 inches and my son's foot is about 5.7 inches so I thought these boots might be too big but they were perfect! It runs smoothly in it and still has room to grow. They are called "mud boots" but we live in Michigan and my son uses them as snow boots. He didn't complain about his feet getting cold at -5 degrees Celsius so I'm happy with the insulation and quality. They may seem a bit heavy for very small toddlers but I bought these for my son because I wanted him to be able to put his winter boots on himself. As a result, my son uses the tongue at the back more than the side grips, but those two features definitely helped him put his boots on easily.
