I bought these t-shirts for my 11 year old daughter to wear alone in the summer or under other clothes on colder days. She now has many options for both uses and reports that these are great t-shirts. The material is soft and stretches well. The seams are still great even after numerous washing/drying cycles and have withstood the playful strains of everyday children's life. The fit is great but be aware that they feel a little short at the bottom. In general, they work very well as universal tees.
