I bought a size 12 for my 5 year old who will be starting kindergarten soon. They fit him perfectly and have room to grow, they will probably last him around 6 months or so as his foot is growing so fast. And most importantly, he loves her! They are so soft, easy to put on, flexible without being stiff at all and best of all they glow which he loves! They also have an on/off button which is very handy but I doubt we'll be using it as the only reason we got them is for the light, why turn them off?
