Sometimes I need a numeric keypad but not so much that I need a full size keyboard. Keeping it on my desk until I needed it seemed like a good compromise. The problem is that when connected to a powered USB hub, the backlight does not turn off, even if my computer is turned off or unplugged. This is weird because I also have a LED keyless keyboard connected to this hub and it turns off when the computer is turned off. It's a bit annoying having to leave this thing on all the time and turn it off when not in use.
