For the price I have to agree. For twenty bucks, don't expect decades of use. The design is less desirable and one guy even complained that his wife couldn't hold it in one hand. This is a bit silly, anyone over 8 should have big hands to grab this. BUT it is true that the design should be more grooved or a shape that is not as straight. Also note that this is only double glazed but not as insulated as Bodum or other premium designers. The difference is obvious, when pouring drinks with ice, these glasses "sweat" like regular containers. They also do NOT keep cold/hot drinks as long as the brands mentioned above. Here's a way to break it that I found and it's happened twice: If it's filled with hot water and you put anything right in the middle, it will break. Floor with double walls! I washed it and filled it with hot water from the tap and also washed spoons and forks. After cleaning the fork, I placed it in a jar and removed the sponge --- CRACK! and went in the garbage.
