Get these instead of the black version. Excellent mechanical keyboard

If you are on this product page, then you have most likely seen the more popular black version with many reviews. Well I'm here to tell you that this is the best buy of the two and I'll tell you why. Unlike the black color option most people buy, this keyboard comes with Outemu Blue auxiliary switches and a key switch puller. This keyboard features Outemu Blue switches which are Cherry MX clones. However, I have found that these switches are not the same as other Outemu Blues that I have seen on other keyboards. They seem a little prickly, but you can set any switch if you don't like them (more on that later). They have bobby pins around a small cross but that doesn't seem to make any sense. If you want custom keycaps, they should work, but with a problem. The right shift key is an unusual size, making it difficult to find a compatible key set. Your best bet is to either find a set of white keys so the Shift key doesn't stand out too much, or find a way to make your own keyboard for that right key. The main reason I recommend this keyboard is that it has hot swappable switches. With the included key switch puller you can pull the switches out and insert another MX style switch and it works, no soldering required. Why do you need such a function? One reason is that it eliminates a point of failure. If the push button switch stops working, just take it out (they have 5 spare switches). If you want to try a different switch but don't want to spend more than $40 on a different keyboard, you can buy a switch bundle for as little as $30 (price varies by switch manufacturer). Keep in mind that the pin holes on the switches are smaller than standard cherry pins, so you'll need to sharpen the pins on your switches before installing them. Let's talk about keyboard design. The keyboard uses a detachable micro USB cable. This means that if the standard cable breaks, you can get a new cable, or you can get a better quality cable. The included cable is a fairly thick, no-frills gray cable. There are 3 cable channels, on the sides and at the very back. The difference between the white version of this keyboard and the black version is that the LED looks much brighter and brighter. This is because the back panel reflects light much better than a black surface. This creates a beautiful glow and more even illumination compared to the black version. The back looks like a solid piece of aluminum, which makes the keyboard very durable and of high quality. The case is made of PBT plastic, but I can't say for sure as there's no display. The keycaps have a really horrible gaming font that many budget mechanical keyboards use. They are made of double ABS plastic and are not laser engraved as stated in the product description which is good. That means the legends don't fade away, but since they have abs it means they tend to shine. On my black Z-88, the space bar on the right side is a bit worn after 3 weeks of use. The lighting effects are pretty good for the price. This is not a "real" RGB keyboard as it only has a small number of colors to choose from. However, I am sure that with these colors you will find one that suits your setup. I was surprised to see that the white color mode is actually quite white compared to other RGB keyboards where the white color would be blue or a bit pink. There are 10 backlight modes to choose from, I've uploaded a video showing them. Overall, this is a great keyboard for those who want a mechanical keyboard but don't want to spend a lot of money to find a good one.
