I was initially extremely skeptical about the snug fit of the case for my 2018 11" iPad Pro. The iPad in the case was shielded, but couldn't because the camera hit the inner cardboard panels at the creases. I found it much easier to place the iPad face down and felt more confident protecting the screen when it was face down with a cardboard frame inside to add an extra layer of protection. The pencil fits perfectly in the holder. Removing the iPad was a hassle at first, but the skin on both the older stylus and the case came off really well, so inserting and removing the iPad and stylus is now a breeze. The iPad occasionally slips out of the case, but the pen holder with or without a pen makes it impossible for the iPad to slip out. The material inside is soft and I don't feel like it scratches the screen unless dirt gets inside. I always use screen protectors and keep my devices clean, so I'm never quite sure what protection the inside offers for deep or small scratches on the screen itself versus the surface of the screen protector. The function that this particular case gave me was as a kickstand. It folds into three pieces, just like briefcases, and this is the only case I could find that did. And the pencil slot plays an important role in the security of your iPad. I would highly recommend this case at its price to everyone else especially the tri fold one.
